For Easter we had Daniele and Mara over for dinner. These are some of our friends that we've met on the streets. If you've been trying to keep up with me, then you will know Daniele. However, Mara I don't think I've mentioned.
Mara was the first prostitute that Nic talked to on the streets of Curitiba back in 2009. Ever since he's been here, he's been looking for her, with the hope that she found her way off the streets. However, about a month ago we were on the streets and saw her. She remembered Nic and asked about Rachael. She remembered word for word what they had spoke into her life a couple years ago. It's amazing how some of the girls and guys never forget what we've said over their lives. God is so good! Since we saw her on the streets, Nic and his family have taken her to dinner, a church service, and now she came to our Easter dinner. She loves hanging around us.
For Easter, Daniele and Mara both were alone before we picked them up. They were so excited to be with Shores of Grace. After dinner we all went into the family room and had some worship time. Both girls felt so comfortable at the house and it was so great to have them here.
God has been so good!! For the past three weekends Daniele and I have been able to hang out. This weekend she is planning on meeting us in São Paulo for a conference we're doing with Heidi Baker.
Pray for travel safety and over the conference.
A couple weeks ago, Nic took the girls out for a dinner. When we arrived, They (Nic and Rachael), had three flowers set at every seat with a personal letter. This night was just another reminder of how we should be treated, like royalty. You know, our Daddy is the King of Kings ;)
Also this month, one night we treated ourself and went to dinner and casually walked around town for a little while. It felt so good to have a nice juicy burger, American style ;) then end the night with some yogurt with strawberry toppings :)
Have an amazing week and I hope you had an amazing Easter with you family :)
